Publisher Maximum Entertainment and developers from Stormind Games have announced the release date for the physical edition of the horror game Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy for the Switch 2 console. In the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), cartridges will go on sale on December 3, 2026, while the game's digital release will take place earlier — on October 27, 2026.
Finale of the Cult Horror Trilogy
Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy will serve as the final chapter in the psychological survival horror trilogy and will uncover the mystery behind the origin of the Red Nun. The protagonist Susan sets out for an abandoned estate at the foot of Mount Etna in Sicily, hoping to find her abducted daughter.
Star talent was involved in creating the project: the soundtrack was composed by legendary Silent Hill series composer Akira Yamaoka alongside Aram Shahbazians, while voice roles were performed by BAFTA award-winner Cissy Jones and Maggie Robertson (known for her role as Lady Dimitrescu).
What Is Included in the Game Editions?
Players will have access to both standard and expanded editions of the game:
- Digital Deluxe Edition (from October 27): the full game, a digital artbook, and the complete digital soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka.
- Physical Deluxe Edition (from December 3): a Switch 2 game cartridge, a reversible cover sheet, as well as download codes for the digital artbook and soundtrack.
