Studio LEVEL-5 has released a new extended trailer and a making-of video for the theme song of the long-awaited detective game Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. The new adventure of the iconic duo Professor Layton and Luke will officially launch on December 10, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles.
A New Mystery in the World of Steam and Mechanisms
The events of the game take place one year after the finale of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. Professor Hershel Layton travels to the American town of Steam Bison, which, thanks to steam technology, has rapidly surpassed even London in development. Luke is already waiting for him there, along with a series of mysterious events that players will have to unravel.

The game's puzzle design is managed by the famous Japanese quiz group QuizKnock, led by Takushi Izawa. The digital version of the game will take up approximately 13 GB of storage on the console.
