Prince of Sweden Awards Horror Game REANIMAL with Prestigious Design Award

Co-op horror game REANIMAL by Tarsier Studios has received the prestigious Utmärkt Svensk Form award, presented to the developers by the Prince of Sweden.

The developers from Tarsier Studios, known for the hit co-op horror REANIMAL, have received recognition at the state level. On August 27, the game was awarded the prestigious Swedish prize Utmärkt Svensk Form (Excellent Swedish Design Award 2026), presented in person by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.

Why Was REANIMAL Recognized?

The award jury highly praised the developers' mastery in creating visual style and an interactive atmosphere:

“Through a consistent and deep approach to environmental storytelling, atmosphere, and interactive design, this project expands the unique possibilities of video games as an artistic medium. With exceptional precision, players are invited to explore, interpret, and build meaning. REANIMAL receives the award for pioneering work in visual expression, narrative, and design.”

As a reminder, REANIMAL is already available on the Switch 2 platform. In addition, REANIMAL: The Prisoner—the first part of the three-part story expansion Expanded World—was recently released.
