Changes to the Pace of New Set Releases
The mobile card game Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket quickly gained popularity among pocket monster fans, but the community had a number of serious concerns. Players' main complaints remained an overly slow interface and an excessively fast pace of new card set releases, which made completing collections practically impossible.
The DeNA studio, together with The Pokémon Company, officially responded to the audience's criticism and announced the preparation of a major update.
What Can Players Expect?
The developers plan to slow down the release schedule for upcoming expansions to give players more time to open booster packs, collect cards, and participate in events:
- Reduced frequency of new card releases to avoid "content fatigue";
- Improved balance for casual and active players;
- Further optimization of gameplay and the user interface.
The developers promised to release a detailed update schedule and information about upcoming card sets in the near future.
