Fresh details and a promo video have been announced for the new board game "Pokémon: Who Is Team Rocket?", created by The Pokémon Company in collaboration with Chinese board game publisher YOKA Games.
What is this game?
"Pokémon: Who Is Team Rocket?" is a dynamic card party game featuring hidden-role mechanics, similar to the popular "Mafia" or other deduction games. Each participant secretly receives their own role:
- Gym Leader;
- Trainer;
- Team Rocket Agent.
Players participate in a series of Pokémon battles, trying to avoid elimination while simultaneously figuring out who at the table is actually a Team Rocket spy.
Release Details
The board game is designed for a group of 4 to 6 players, and the average duration of a single match is about 30 minutes. The official release of the game in Japan is scheduled for November 12, 2026.
