Recently, the first part of the Expansion Pass titled Bubbly Basin launched for Pokémon Pokopia, and even more content awaits players ahead. Initially, the expansion was positioned purely as a digital add-on, but plans to release a physical edition have now been revealed.
Physical release in South Korea
In South Korea, the boxed edition release of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is scheduled for September 10, 2026. It is worth noting that this is a Game-Key Card format release, so not all content will be on the cartridge — which is completely logical, as subsequent parts of the pass will be released gradually. It is currently unknown whether a similar physical edition will appear in other regions of the world.
What is included in the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass?
The paid expansion offers fans the chance to expand their town-building possibilities through three major update waves, accessible with their current save file:
- Part 1: Bubbly Basin (August 2026) — an underwater town, marine Pokémon, themed furniture, and new costumes for Ditto.
- Part 2 (late 2026) — additional gameplay mechanics and features.
- Part 3 (2027) — another brand-new town to build.
