Compatibility with Kanto Classics
The Pokémon HOME service has received a major update to version 4.1.0. The main new feature is the long-awaited support for Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version for Nintendo Switch. Now trainers can transfer Pokémon caught in the Kanto region to Pokémon HOME and send them to newer games in the series.
It is worth noting the transfer rules: once a pocket monster is moved to another game in the series, it can no longer return back to FireRed or LeafGreen. In addition, Pokémon from modern installments cannot be transferred to classic games.
Gifts and Storage Expansion
The developers have also prepared nice bonuses for dedicated players:
- Mythical Celebi: players who fully complete the Pokédex in FireRed or LeafGreen will receive Celebi as a gift in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME.
- Special Tickets: after defeating the Elite Four and entering the Hall of Fame, the Mystic Ticket (to encounter Lugia and Ho-Oh) and Aurora Ticket (to encounter Deoxys) are automatically added to the Bag.
- Capacity Increase: for Premium Plan subscribers, the Pokémon storage limit has been increased from 6,000 to 9,000, while the subscription cost remains unchanged.
