Rumors about a possible release of the classic games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire on the Nintendo Switch have gained momentum once again. The reason for the new wave of discussions was a post on the official Japanese Poké Times account on the social network X.
A hint from the official account?
The franchise's official page posted a new short video dedicated to memories of the Hoenn region and adventures in Ruby and Sapphire. Such attention to the third-generation Game Boy Advance classic immediately caught the attention of fans.
Among the possible ways for the games to appear on modern consoles, the community highlights several scenarios:
- Adding the Game Boy Advance library to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription;
- Releasing a separate digital or physical remaster or port;
- A special announcement for upcoming franchise anniversary celebrations.
Currently, neither The Pokémon Company nor Nintendo has officially confirmed the release of the games on the hybrid platform, but fans are hoping for news soon.
