Free patch for Switch 2 is now available
Studio Pocket Trap and publisher PM Studios have released a free update for the game Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, created specifically for owners of the next-generation console — Nintendo Switch 2.
The world's first "yoyovania," originally released in May 2025, has now received a significant technical upgrade. The updated version offers players:
- Handheld mode: 1080p resolution, HDR support, and smooth 120 frames per second;
- TV mode (docked): crisp 4K resolution.
What is the game about?
Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is a dynamic top-down action-adventure game featuring nostalgic pixel art. The protagonist, a small but brave bat named Pippit, sets out to rescue his beloved aunt and reclaim his family legacy in a vibrant metropolis.
Armed with a modified yoyo, players can traverse chasms, solve spatial puzzles, and battle crime bosses. The game also offers flexible combat style customization with over 40 badges and 20 passive upgrades.
