A free update titled Boosted has been released for the arcade game BUBBLE BOBBLE Sugar Dungeons, which is already available for download and significantly expands gameplay with new mechanics.
What's New in the Boosted Update?
The main new feature is the appearance of Bob, the twin brother of Bub, who comes to the rescue in dangerous dungeons. In Bob's special room, players can now choose one of three Bonus Gates:
- Item Room: a treasure room where you can get a large number of chests and useful items;
- Combo Room: a location for quickly dispatching crowds of enemies to rack up high combos;
- Skip Gate: a portal that allows skipping several dungeon floors at once.
More Items and Improved Balance
In addition to portals, the developers significantly increased the variety and drop rate of items, including invulnerability power-ups. New powerful artifacts have also been added to help tackle increasingly difficult levels.
As a reminder, BUBBLE BOBBLE Sugar Dungeons features dynamic procedurally generated dungeons, signature bubble mechanics, exploration of a massive castle, and even a console port of the classic 1997 game BUBBLE SYMPHONY.
