Nintendo has announced the release of a free demo version of Pikmin 4: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy. Players will be able to try out the updated game on the eShop digital store starting November 2, 2026, ahead of the full release on November 12.
What will be included in the demo?
In the trial version, players will be able to fully explore the game's starting area, as well as test their skills in two levels of the new Dandori Academy mode. A nice bonus: all saved progress can be seamlessly transferred to the full version of the game after purchase.

- Enhanced graphics and visual effects created specifically for the new console.
- New Dandori Academy training mode with a series of challenges to improve strategic Pikmin management.
- Voice commands for the space dog Oatchi using the console's built-in microphone.
- The ability to challenge friends in Dandori Battles via GameShare locally or online via GameChat, even if they do not own a copy of the game.
