Capcom shared a new video about Onimusha: Way of the Sword from the "Curious Cases" series, dedicated to the main protagonist — Miyamoto Musashi. The video is voiced by Yuriri Naka, the voice of Oni Lady, who talks about the fates of the characters and formidable enemies in the game.
The Path of the Legendary Samurai
Miyamoto Musashi is an ambitious samurai who arrives in Edo-period Kyoto intending to prove that he is unmatched in swordsmanship. However, his journey takes an unexpected and mystical turn when the city is attacked by terrifying Genma demons. Armed with the magical Oni Gauntlet, Musashi is forced to go beyond human limits to overcome the creatures from the netherworld.
Features of the Nintendo Switch 2 Version
Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be the first brand-new entry in the iconic franchise in the last 20 years. The version for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console will feature unique perks:
- Exclusive motion controls with Joy-Con 2 controllers;
- Intuitive swordplay during dynamic combat;
- Precise aiming while shooting a bow.
The release of Onimusha: Way of the Sword is scheduled for September 4, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
