VRR demonstration is now also available on TV
Nintendo has released the version 1.1.0 update for the built-in interactive guide Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. The update is now becoming available to all users of the new console worldwide.
This update follows a major console system software update that added variable refresh rate (VRR) support for the dock. The main change in version 1.1.0 of the Welcome Tour app is the ability to test VRR performance in TV Mode.
Key changes in version 1.1.0:
- Added support for launching the VRR demonstration when the console is connected to the dock and a compatible TV;
- General improvements to stability and the application interface.
Users of compatible monitors and TVs with HDMI 2.1 and VRR support can now visually experience picture smoothness and the elimination of screen tearing directly through the Welcome Tour.
