Nintendo Has Released System Update 23.0.0
Nintendo has released a fresh system update, version 23.0.0, for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles. The main and most anticipated innovation of this patch is support for VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) technology in docked mode for the Switch 2.
What's New in the Update:
- Docked VRR support for Switch 2: the console can now synchronize the image refresh rate with compatible TVs and monitors while playing in docked mode.
- Smoother gameplay: VRR eliminates screen tearing and makes frame rate fluctuations less noticeable to the player.

Previously, VRR technology on the Switch 2 was available exclusively in handheld mode on the built-in display. To use the feature on a TV or monitor, a display with support for HDMI VRR or corresponding adaptive sync standards will be required.
