Great news for basketball fans and owners of Nintendo's next-generation console! 2K has officially confirmed that the simulation game NBA 2K27 on Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to run at 60 frames per second in Performance Mode.
Level of Modern Consoles
Now, the Switch 2 version is able to offer the same gameplay smoothness as the releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This will allow players to enjoy dynamic matches on the basketball court without losing responsiveness in controls.
Key New Features of NBA 2K27:
- Enhanced Gameplay: updated collision system, expanded dribbling, and redesigned defense mechanics.
- Co-Ed City: for the first time, male and female MyPLAYER avatars can compete together within The City.
- MyCAREER Mode: a new 11-chapter cinematic story "Fire & Concrete", as well as the opportunity to play in five different historical eras.
- Career Co-op: the ability to play story matches together with a friend.
- Updated MyTEAM and MyNBA: an expanded card exchange system and a new 100-year franchise legacy mode.
The release of NBA 2K27 will take place on September 4, 2026, on Switch 2 and other current platforms.
