The Return of the Samurai Classic by Vanillaware and Marvelous
The team working on Muramasa Revenant Blades shared behind-the-scenes details on why the cult action game Muramasa: The Demon Blade is returning after so many years of silence.
The original game initially debuted on the Nintendo Wii console in 2009, captivating players with its incredible art style and dynamic combat system. The only reimagining of the project until now was the Muramasa Rebirth edition for the PS Vita handheld console, which was released more than ten years ago.
Why Right Now?
Producer Makoto Shiota and the creative team noted that they felt the time was right to bring the franchise back in order to introduce modern audiences to the classic masterpiece and delight long-time fans with an updated vision of the familiar story.
