Open beta test on Nintendo Switch 2
With the approaching October release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced unexpected details of the upcoming beta testing. For the first time in the history of the series, players will be able to try out not only standard multiplayer, but also the single-player campaign and Warzone mode.
The official Call of Duty account shared the schedule of upcoming events. After the Call of Duty Next presentation on August 21, several stages of game testing will begin:
- Early access (August 21-25): available by pre-order for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X. Players will be able to play the story mission Entrenched and try out six multiplayer maps in nine modes.
- Open beta test (August 28 - September 1): adds the large-scale Warzone mode and 32v32 Ground War. This particular stage will be officially available on Nintendo Switch 2!
It is obvious that Microsoft is placing big bets on Modern Warfare 4 after the weak sales of the previous installment. The developers promise to fix the mistakes of their predecessors, and for owners of the upcoming Nintendo console, this will be a great opportunity to evaluate the large-scale shooter even before its full release.
