The Return of the Guardians of the Galaxy on New Hardware
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Encore Edition is gearing up for release on Nintendo Switch 2 as early as November 5, 2026. Unlike the original cloud version for the first generation of Switch, this time players will receive a full native port. The first graphical comparison of the game on Nintendo's new platform with the PlayStation 5 version has appeared online.
Graphic Modes and Performance
On Switch 2, the action game will offer players two graphic modes in stationary docked mode:
- Quality Mode: 1440p resolution targeting 30 frames per second;
- Performance Mode: 1080p resolution targeting 40 frames per second;
- Handheld Mode: the game runs targeting 30 frames per second.
In addition, the updated Encore Edition includes an all-new set of glam rock-style outfits for all team members.
Unique Switch 2 Features
The developers have also adapted the controls for the capabilities of the next-generation hybrid console:
- Mouse Support: full Switch 2 mouse control for menu navigation and precise aiming;
- Gyro Aiming: the ability to pilot the Milano ship in space or maneuver Peter while sliding and in zero-gravity conditions by tilting the controller.
