Hellish Friday of 1987
Publisher DANGEN Entertainment has announced that the 1980s-inspired isometric action-RPG Kingdom of Night will arrive on Nintendo Switch on November 5, 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a console version trailer immersing viewers in an ordinary Friday evening of 1987 in the town of Miami, Arizona. However, the night quickly turns into a living hell: a satanic cult summons an ancient evil—the demon Baphomet, monsters flood the streets, and high schooler John, along with his friends, becomes the only barrier between their hometown and the forces of darkness.
Game Features
- 80s Atmosphere and Cosmic Horror: The story combines teen drama, nostalgia for a bygone era, and dark fantasy.
- Five Unique Classes: Choose from Barbarian, Knight, Rogue, Necromancer, or Warlock with individual combat styles.
- Flexible Customization: Branching skill trees, powerful equipment, and rare loot to create your own demon slayer.
- Freedom of Exploration: Travel freely around the town, delve into dungeons, and defeat demon generals in any order.
- Local Co-op: The ability to complete the entire campaign solo or together with a friend in a two-player same-screen mode.
The project previously launched on PC in late 2025, where it garnered positive reviews thanks to its handcrafted pixel art and deep combat system.
