The Magic of Good Deeds and the Journey of Little Familiars
Publisher Knights Peak and studio Windup Games have released a new dev diary for the magical adventure Hela: of Mice & Magic, focusing on its heartwarming storyline. The game tells a warm story about mutual aid and caring for the surrounding world. According to the plot, a kind-hearted witch who has protected these lands for centuries suddenly falls ill. To heal her homeland and restore disrupted harmony, she turns to her smallest helpers for aid — her mouse familiars.
Full Crossplay Across All Platforms
The developers officially confirmed that Hela: of Mice & Magic will support full crossplay from day one. Up to four players will be able to complete the entire story campaign together, either on a single screen (split-screen) or online across different platforms.
Key features of the project:
- Co-op Playthrough: access to every location, puzzle, and storyline branch is open for four-player co-op.
- Shade System: solo players can summon magical copies of their mouse to solve complex puzzles.
- World Exploration: searching for letters, completing tasks for forest dwellers, and uncovering the secrets of ancient magic.
Release Date and Physical Editions
The release of Hela: of Mice & Magic will take place on December 1, 2026. The game will be available digitally and in a limited physical Harmony Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X, as well as digital-only on Xbox Series S and PC.
