Today, the grim puzzle game Hazard Pay was released on Nintendo Switch, set in an alternate 1982. Players are invited to take on the role of an ordinary janitor at the IPT corporation, which regularly causes catastrophic biological incidents.
Gameplay Features
Armed with a mop, a bucket, and logic, you will have to eliminate all traces of the company's crimes in a series of increasingly complex and eerie Sokoban-style puzzles. Each level offers new challenges and mechanics:
- Walking on blood leaves footprints that must be thoroughly scrubbed away;
- Acid vats serve as a convenient place to dispose of unwanted remains;
- Electrical switches and doors require rewiring using any nearby conductive fluid (most often that same blood).
Corporate Secrets and Content
Beyond cleaning, players will uncover the dark secret of corporate negligence and face a moral choice regarding further cooperation with authoritarian management. The game features:
- Over 70 well-thought-out handcrafted levels;
- Stylish and grim pixel art with a dystopian atmosphere;
- Puzzles with constantly new block-pushing mechanics;
- A step counter with global and friends leaderboards.
