Cygames has announced the opening of pre-orders for the fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising for the Nintendo Switch 2 console on the Nintendo eShop digital store. The game from Arc System Works will go on sale on September 17 in the complete Legendary Edition at a price of $49.99.
Legendary Edition Content
The Legendary Edition offers a full set of content and unlocks access to all 40 playable characters, including newcomer Id. The package includes:
- Base game Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
- Deluxe Character Pass (Part 1 and 2)
- Season 1 and 2 characters along with premium avatars
- Color variations, weapon skins, and special costumes for Gran and Djeeta
- New arena Canaan Shrine
- Additional Character Set (Id)
Players who pre-order or purchase the game in the early months (until January 12, 2027) will receive the bonus Reverent Attire costume for Sandalphon.
Exclusive Gyro Versus Mode and New Mechanics
Exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, a new Gyro Versus mode will appear, in which players will be able to perform combos and special moves by swinging Joy-Con or Joy-Con 2 controllers. This mode will be available in local Versus battles.
Simultaneously with the release, a major version 2.60 update will launch, adding two new combat mechanics: the Chain Attacks combo system and the Super Ultimate+ special control scheme. In addition, the Switch 2 version will support crossplay and local play via Local Communication without an internet connection.
