Legendary Kaiju Return to the Arena
Publisher Atari, alongside the developers at Pipeworks, has presented a fresh gameplay trailer for the fighting game Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, showcasing the familiar roster of giant monsters in action. The release of the updated classic on the Switch 2 console is scheduled for November 3, 2026.
The remaster of the cult 2002 game features graphics completely overhauled from scratch, improved gameplay, and modern online multiplayer in addition to classic local co-op.
Key Features of the Re-release:
- 12 unique kaiju: each monster has its own set of devastating strikes, energy attacks, and special attacks in Rage Mode;
- 8 diverse arenas: recreated real-world metropolises, Monster Island, and an alien ship with day and night variations;
- Interactive environment: the ability to destroy arenas and use skyscraper debris as weapons;
- Updated progression system: freely unlock monsters, locations, and gallery materials;
- Single-player campaigns: separate story playthroughs for each monster;
- Multiplayer: local battles and a full-fledged online mode.
