Developers from TYPE-MOON and TYPE-MOON studio BB shared new details and a massive 17-minute presentation of the upcoming role-playing game Fate/EXTRA Record. The project's release is scheduled for January 28, 2027 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
The Holy Grail War on the Moon Begins Anew
The events unfold in the virtual world of "SE.RA.PH.", created on the Moon. 128 of the planet's best hackers act as Masters and summon Servants—the souls of legendary heroes of the past (such as Saber or Archer)—to fight to the death for an omnipotent artifact that grants any wish.
What's New in the Remake?
Fate/EXTRA Record is a complete reimagining of the cult 2010 RPG for PSP. The developers have prepared:
- Completely updated 3D graphics and visual style;
- An expanded story scenario from original author Kinoko Nasu;
- A deep turn-based combat system with deck-building elements;
- Updated character designs by artist Arco Wada.
The game will be a great opportunity for both longtime fans of the series and newcomers to immerse themselves in the Fate universe on next-generation consoles.
