Final Fantasy VII Revelation on Switch 2 Will Take Up 130 GB

Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be released on Switch 2 in April 2027 and will take up a significant 130 GB of storage space.

The Grand Finale of the Trilogy Will Take Up a Significant Portion of the Console's Storage

Square Enix has revealed details about the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Revelation, whose release on Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled for April 8, 2027. Along with this, a technical aspect of the game was revealed: the project will take up a significant 130 GB of storage space, making it one of the heaviest titles on the new platform.

As expected, the physical edition of the project will be released in the Game-Key Card format, so a full game written to a cartridge shouldn't be expected — players will have to download a significant amount of data and consider a high-speed microSD Express card.

Flight on the Highwind and the Final Battle for the Planet

In the final installment of the iconic trilogy, Cloud Strife and his companions will confront Sephiroth, who has approached godhood, and the fall of Meteor. Players will gain complete freedom to travel the world thanks to the legendary airship Highwind, with the ability to seamlessly land at any point on the map.

  • New playable characters: Vincent Valentine with lightning-fast shooting and beast transformations, as well as Cid Highwind, who masterfully wields a spear and controls combat distance;
  • FITS system: the ability to equip unique costumes that grant ability sets of classic series jobs, such as Black Mage or Warrior;
  • Large-scale locations: exploration of the Mideel archipelago, the warrior nation of Wutai, and the frozen expanses of the Northern Continent;
  • Flexible combat system: an improved hybrid of real-time action and Tactical Mode.
