Director of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy Naoki Hamaguchi shared his thoughts on bringing the series to the Switch 2 platform, highlighting the significant commercial success of this move.
A Successful Business Decision for Square Enix
Following the announcement of the final installment, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which is scheduled for a simultaneous release on all platforms, including Switch 2, Hamaguchi noted an exceptionally warm reception from players:
- The game's announcement at Summer Game Fest sparked a wave of interest and positive feedback;
- This significantly boosted sales of the first two installments of the series;
- Porting the trilogy made a substantial contribution to the company's financial results this year.
