Changes to Final Fantasy XIV Subscription for Switch 2

Square Enix has officially announced the end of the special free period for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV on Nintendo Switch 2. The new rules will take effect starting September 7, 2026.

Access Conditions and Rates

Following the end of the introductory period, the following rules will apply to users:

• Players who purchase the Starter Edition or Complete Edition for Switch 2 will receive the standard 30 days of free game time.
• After the 30-day period expires, a regular monthly subscription will be required for continued access to the game.
• All accumulated game progress and characters will be preserved without changes.
