Sandy Wastelands, Fire, and Wild Racing
The developers of the dynamic racing battle royale Faaast Penguin have unveiled a fresh batch of content. On October 15, 2026, Season 13 titled FPX: Badlands will kick off, taking the restless penguins into a scorching world of sand, explosions, and crazy stunts.
New World — FPX: Badlands
The events of the season take place in the town of Sand Bands, where daredevil racers gather. Water and cans of sardines are worth their weight in gold here, and the wastelands are ruled by the daredevils of the Mad Riders gang. There are no rules on the tracks, and additional danger comes from the tricky "Barrel Mouse," which triggers a devastating explosion when hit.
Along with the new location, new characters will also arrive:
- Crimson Ace: Gear — the undisputed leader of the Mad Riders and the fastest racer in the wastelands.
- Wasteland Courier: Clutch — a master courier brought to the track by another special delivery order.
Enhanced Tricks and Gameplay Improvements
The key mechanic of the location is performing mid-air tricks: the more stunts executed during flight, the higher the run rank will be (up to the highest X Rank), which significantly increases base speed. Additionally, the developers have substantially improved the trick system for both Badlands and the Snowboarding mode:
- Reduced surface bounce when landing on slopes;
- Expanded the timing window for successfully completing tricks;
- Reduced tumble time after a failed landing;
- In the event of a failed landing, players still receive a small speed boost for the stunts performed.
