D4 Enterprise has expanded its lineup of retro releases on Nintendo Switch. The classic shooter Megalopolis SOS, originally released for the MSX system in 1983, is now available for purchase on the digital eShop as part of the EGGCONSOLE series.
Protect world metropolises from UFOs
In Megalopolis SOS, players control a defensive turret, moving left and right to fend off massive attacks from enemy spaceships using projectiles and floating mines.
Key gameplay features:
- Six cities under protection: six world metropolises (NYC, LON, TKY, MOW, PEK, PAR) are located between your turret and the attackers.
- Aggressive defense: you cannot dodge shots, as enemy attacks will hit the cities directly. The only way to win is to destroy threats preemptively.
- Loss conditions: the game ends if all your cannons are lost or if one of the cities is completely destroyed.
