Early Start of the Football Season
Virtual football fans on Nintendo consoles can already take to the pitch. Today, September 18, 2026, EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition was released on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Owners of the premium edition gained the opportunity to start playing a whole week earlier than the official release of the standard version, scheduled for September 25.

New Modes and Gameplay Improvements
One of the main innovations is the social mode The Grounds featuring street football, 1v1 formats, and clubs; however, please note: this mode is available exclusively in the version for Nintendo Switch 2.
The game also received an updated transfer market in Manager Career, dynamic corners, improved defense, and a FUT gallery for card collecting. In total, the game features over 21,000 licensed footballers.
