Mystery Dungeon Classic Makes Its International Debut
Nintendo and Square Enix have presented the launch trailer for the game Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD-, which is now available for owners of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. The original game, released back in 1993 exclusively in Japan and the originator of the cult Mystery Dungeon subgenre, has finally received an official worldwide release.
The game's plot unfolds after the events of Dragon Quest IV. Torneko, an ambitious arms merchant, ventures into the perilous Mystery Dungeon to find legendary treasures and open the ultimate shop of his own.
Features of the updated edition:
- Procedurally generated dungeons: every adventure is randomly generated—room layouts, enemies, and items constantly change.
- Updated graphics: improved visual HD style and a new introductory cinematic video.
- Accessibility: customizable difficulty levels for beginners and roguelike veterans alike.
