The developers of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO have showcased a fresh trailer for the upcoming expansion titled SUPER-LIMIT BREAKING NEO, which is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in 2027.
New Arenas and Fresh Content
The massive expansion will introduce 4 brand-new arenas and over 12 variations of them — from the cozy Kame House to the harsh Bitter Tundra. In addition, the expansion includes:
- 33 new characters from DRAGON BALL, DRAGON BALL Z, DRAGON BALL SUPER, and DRAGON BALL GT;
- 4 new story battles (Episode Battles);
- A new single-player mode, "Limit Breaker Journey", where players will be able to choose their favorite fighters, develop their stats, and customize unique combat skills (Battle Arts).
Free Update with New Mechanics
Along with the DLC release, the fighting game will receive a free patch that will update gameplay mechanics:
- Sparking! Boost: the ability to spend a large amount of the skill gauge for a significant attack power increase in Sparking! mode (with a temporary stat penalty applied after it ends);
- Chain Blast: a new combo mechanic that allows calling a fighter from the bench after knocking an enemy into the air and continuing the combo with a devastating energy blast.
