Diablo IV's Season of Hell's Legacy Postponed Due to Server Outages

Blizzard was forced to postpone the launch of Season of Hell's Legacy for Diablo IV due to widespread errors and server issues.

The release of Diablo IV on the new Switch 2 console as part of the Age of Hatred Collection bundle was supposed to coincide with the launch of the new season titled Season of Hell's Legacy. However, fans of dark Sanctuary will have to wait a little longer for the new content.

Technical issues at the season's launch

The "Season of Hell's Legacy" update is designed to immerse players in the history of past franchise installments through themed quests, encounters with memories of legendary heroes, and iconic villains. Unfortunately, the launch was accompanied by widespread outages:

  • Numerous error codes during connection;
  • Authentication and server login issues;
  • Unstable game performance across all platforms, including the new Switch 2.

Blizzard's official statement

Blizzard has officially confirmed the postponement of the season's launch, noting that the developers need additional time to stabilize the infrastructure and resolve the issues. The studio thanked the community for their patience and promised to announce the new start date for Season of Hell's Legacy in the near future.
