A crowdfunding campaign for the new co-op role-playing game Eternal Hunters: The Branford Legacy has launched on the Kickstarter platform. The main feature of the project is that it is not merely stylized as 90s pixel art, but genuinely developed directly for the original Super Nintendo hardware.
The True Spirit of the 16-Bit Era
According to the developers, their goal is to create the exact kind of game that players dreamed of during the golden age of the SNES. The project is being created taking into account the technical capabilities, authentic limitations, and unique identity of the legendary 16-bit console.
Eternal Hunters combines dungeon crawling, real-time combat, magic, epic boss battles, and a storyline spanning multiple historical eras.
Co-op at the Heart of Gameplay
A local two-player cooperative mode is being developed as a core element of the mechanics:
- Each character has a unique combat style and elemental abilities.
- Hero skills can interact with each other to form combo attacks.
- During battles, players can divide roles: distracting enemies, controlling the area, or focusing on boss vulnerabilities.
At the same time, the developers note that the entire adventure can be fully completed in solo mode as well. You can support the game's release on SNES cartridges on the official Kickstarter project page.
