The Castlevania franchise is gearing up for a big comeback! The new installment in the series, titled Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, will be released on Nintendo Switch consoles on October 15, 2026. Along with this, the developers shared a fresh trailer bearing the iconic title "Bloody Tears" and revealed gameplay details.
Paris in Danger and a New Heroine
At the center of the plot is a heroine named Rose, who finds herself entangled in a dark conspiracy threatening Paris. Players will have to explore dangerous gothic locations and use their entire arsenal of skills to save the city from doom.
Key Game Features:
- Dynamic Whip: The legendary whip mechanics have become even deeper—now it can be used not only in dynamic battles but also for free-flowing traversal through locations like a gymnast.
- Arcana System: Bosses will include both classic enemies (Death, Medusa, Carmilla) and new figures like Joan of Arc. After defeating them, their powers are sealed into Tarot cards, granting the heroine powerful spells and unique abilities.
- Flexible Customization: Rose's arsenal includes seven weapon categories and various relics that affect attack and defense stats, allowing players to customize their own combat style.
- Refreshed Gothic Atmosphere: The classic Castlevania aesthetic returns with an exquisite visual style and maps full of secrets.
