The company Analogue, known for its premium FPGA devices for classic gaming enthusiasts, has announced the revival of two legendary consoles. Meet the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ — updated versions of devices that allow running original cartridges for Super Nintendo (SNES) and Sega Mega Drive with modern improvements.
Classic games on modern screens
The original versions of the Super Nt and Mega Sg were in huge demand among retro gamers thanks to hardware emulation based on FPGA chips, which ensures zero input lag and 100% authenticity of the original hardware.
The new versions with the "+" suffix will offer a number of modern innovations:
- Improved video output supporting modern high-definition display standards;
- An updated user interface and additional image scaling settings;
- Full compatibility with original cartridges, controllers, and accessories for SNES and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
For fans of the classic Super Nintendo library, the Super Nt+ console will be a great opportunity to once again enjoy favorite hits of the 16-bit era in flawless quality.
