Innersloth studio has released a fresh version v18.0.0 update for the popular multiplayer game Among Us. The main addition is a unique new crewmate role — the Judge, which will significantly alter the course of discussions and votes.
How does the Judge role work?
The Judge receives the powerful "Overrule" ability, which allows them to single-handedly eject any player of their choice. It does not matter how the rest of the crew voted or if everyone skipped voting. However, there is a significant risk: if you accuse an innocent crewmate instead of an Impostor, you will be ejected instead.
Key features of the new role:
- The ability is unlocked after quickly completing a certain number of tasks (customizable in the lobby);
- The Judge can use their veto power only once per game;
- A mistake costs the Judge their own life.
Other patch improvements
In addition to the new role, the update contains several convenient fixes and improvements:
- Added a new Match Info Guide that allows players to quickly check the player list, assigned roles, and current match settings;
- A cooldown has been implemented for the Detective's Interrogate ability after an emergency meeting ends.
