Baking as a weapon and rebuilding the hometown
Studio Splashteam, known for the delightful Tinykin, along with publisher Dotemu, presented a new seasonal trailer for Acornia: Mirror Worlds. The game, which successfully combines the genres of dungeon crawler, action-adventure, and shop simulator, is planned for release on Switch 2 in the spring of 2027.
At the center of the story is the charming squirrel Alva, who returns to her native treetop village to run a pastry shop. However, the dark dimension of Duramen has corrupted the settlement and scattered the inhabitants. Now Alva needs to grow her business, rebuild the town, and descend into the dungeons of Duramen to cleanse the world of corruption.
Gameplay features:
- Combat desserts: sweets and pastries serve as an excellent weapon — Alva stuffs her cheeks with cupcakes and pies and hurls them at dark spirits.
- Farming and automation: grow ingredients yourself, discover new recipes, and hire helpers to run the shop.
- Unconventional combat mechanics: if pastry supplies run out, you can always swallow an enemy and launch it at the next opponent.
- Seasonal activities: help neighbors and take part in seasonal festivals to earn valuable rewards and build your reputation.
