Captain Tsubasa returns to the pitch after a more than six-year break in the game CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS from publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developers TAMSOFT CORPORATION. The arcade soccer action game launches on Nintendo Switch on August 28, 2026, and ahead of the release, the developers shared a dynamic launch trailer.
The Most Ambitious Entry in the Series
The new game offers significantly more content and improved Super Action Soccer-style gameplay:
- 22 national teams;
- over 110 playable characters;
- more than 150 unique super moves;
- the ability to create your own character and follow the path to championship alongside Tsubasa;
- a new tactical goalkeeper vs. striker clash system;
- over 80 new music tracks from composer Tadayoshi Makino.

Three digital editions are available to players:
- Standard Edition ($59.99) — base copy of the game.
- Deluxe Edition ($79.99) — the game, a season pass for 6 characters and customization items, as well as a bonus Black Ball.
