The Fight Against Vashtorr on Nintendo's New Platform
The retro shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 has been announced for the Switch 2 console. The game will be released shortly after October 14, 2026, and the developers have already shared an exciting new gameplay trailer dedicated to the formidable demigod Vashtorr the Arkifane.
Plot and New Heroes
Players will take control of the already familiar Ultramarine Malum Caedo, as well as a new heroine — Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath. Venturing to an isolated star system due to a surge in Chaos activity, the heroes face a massive threat: Vashtorr awakens a daemon engine and destroys a significant part of the Imperial fleet. Now the warriors must purge planets of corruption and banish the demigod back into the Warp.
Features of the Sequel
- A larger selection of deadly weapons and new abilities in the name of the Emperor;
- Two playable characters with unique combat styles;
- The return of favorite enemies: Nurglings, Chaos Cultists, and the appearance of new deadly minions, such as Bloodletters on Juggernauts;
- Fast-paced, dynamic gameplay in the spirit of classic boomer shooters.
