The retro shooter sequel is coming to the new generation
Studio Auroch Digital, together with publisher Big Fan Games, have officially confirmed that the anticipated boomer shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 will be released on Nintendo Switch 2.
The sequel's release on Nintendo's new platform will take place shortly after the main launch, which is scheduled for October 14, 2026. In its time, the original game captivated fans of classic 90s action games and performed great on the first generation of the hybrid console.
What to expect from the sequel:
- Even more dynamic and brutal firefights in the Warhammer 40,000 universe;
- Improved graphics and optimization for the Switch 2's capabilities;
- New types of weapons and dangerous enemies of the Imperium.
The developers promise to reveal a more detailed release date for the new platform version in the near future.
