The developers of the cozy life simulator Starsand Island have shared plans for an upcoming major update for the game's version on Nintendo Switch 2. Although the exact release date of the patch has not yet been named, the authors have already published the full list of changes, fixes, and new features.
New Content and Holiday Events
- Added a gym-themed furniture and accessories set: a treadmill, yoga mat, kettlebells, dumbbells, fitness outfits, boxing gloves, and more.
- Added an automatic coffee machine, animal shelters, and "blind boxes".
- Improved seasonal events: "Pumpkin Carnival", "Lunar New Year", and "Beach Festival" received new UI animations and additional decorations.
- Added the second batch of official blueprints from the winners of the Blueprint Contest.
Multiplayer Mode Improvements
- Guests can now fully access quests, requests, shops, and land plots.
- Updated the multiplayer shop assortment and player profiles.
- Improved the co-op friendship system.
- Fixed a bug that blocked progress in profession questlines (adventure, crafting, farming, fishing).
- Resolved an issue with the display of merchant ships and the connecting bridge between islands.
- Fixed a bug where guests only reeled in treasure chests while fishing.
Performance and Graphics on Switch 2
- Optimized object loading using an improved streaming system.
- Resolved low rendering resolution issues in certain gameplay scenarios on Nintendo Switch 2.
- Overall improvement in stability and frame rate during large-scale harvesting.
