Release delay of the stylish rhythm adventure
Publisher Playstack and development team D-CELL have announced a necessary delay for the release of the game UNBEATABLE for the next-generation Switch 2 console. The digital version of the game was originally scheduled for release in late July 2026, but the developers needed a little more time for final polishing, leading to an indefinite postponement of the release.
What is known about the physical edition
Along with the digital release, the launch of physical copies has also been delayed. Publisher iam8bit announced that physical editions of UNBEATABLE for Switch 2 are now expected in the first quarter of 2027.
What UNBEATABLE is about
UNBEATABLE is an atmospheric rhythm adventure featuring a distinctive anime style with hand-drawn animation. The story unfolds in a world where music has been outlawed, but the main characters have no intention of giving up:
- Musical rebellion: take part in live concerts and dynamic rhythm mini-games during grand stage performances;
- World exploration: roam the city, meet colorful characters, engage in branching dialogue, and escape from the police;
- Arcade mode: a full standalone mode with its own progression system, online features, and numerous challenges of varying difficulty;
- Original soundtrack: explosive original tracks and unique musical collaborations.
