Ubisoft has issued an official clarification regarding the future of updated versions of the iconic Assassin's Creed series. Despite the success of recent releases and previous hints from leadership, the studio is not currently planning new remakes.
Focus on New Installments of the Series
Following the release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, many fans expected the publisher to undertake reimagining other classic entries in the franchise. Back in 2024, CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed interest in modernizing older projects. However, Ubisoft has now decided to focus on entirely new chapters of the universe.
- There are currently no new Assassin's Creed remakes in development.
- Teams are focused on upcoming projects, notably the mystical Assassin's Creed Hexe.
- The company does not rule out returning to the idea of remakes in the distant future.
Thus, fans of classic assassin adventures will have to wait until the studio finishes work on the franchise's new flagship projects.
