Square Enix announced the development of two free updates at once for the role-playing game Octopath Traveler 0. Players can look forward to fresh content, crossovers with other projects, and new challenges.
Crossover guests in the December patch
The first free update will be released as early as December this year. It will add characters from other Square Enix HD-2D titles to the game, notably heroes from Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, as well as Elliot from The Adventures of Elliot.
Features of the new characters' appearance:
- Guests will not participate directly in battles, but they can provide unique useful items.
- To invite these characters to your settlement, the town level must be at least level 8.
New challenge in the monster arena
The second planned update will focus on combat challenges. It will add a so-called "ultimate enemy" to the monster arena. Defeating this extremely difficult boss will reward the brave with special exclusive town decor. Square Enix will disclose more details about the second update later.
