During the latest Nintendo Direct, Saber Interactive officially announced the release of Turok: Origins on the next-generation platform — Nintendo Switch 2. The sci-fi action shooter will combine first- and third-person elements, marking a new chapter in the legendary dinosaur-hunting franchise.
The Fight for Humanity's Survival
In Turok: Origins, players will take on the role of a member of the ancient Order of Turok. They face a deadly clash with ferocious creatures and an alien threat seeking to wipe out humanity. You will be able to journey through the perilous Lost Lands either solo or in co-op with friends.
Key Game Features:
- Diverse and challenging enemies: fight dinosaurs, monsters, and bosses on land, in water, and in the air using melee combat, special abilities, and powerful weapons.
- Rich arsenal: plasma rifles, beam weapons, sniper rifles, bows, shotguns, and deep upgrade options.
- DNA abilities: harvest DNA from defeated foes to develop your character and unlock unique EchoSyncs abilities.

Release Date Changed
Although the release was initially planned for fall 2026 across all platforms, the game's eShop page was updated: now the release of Turok: Origins is scheduled for 2027.
