Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics presented a new episode in the mini-documentary series on the development of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis — an ambitious reimagining of Lara Croft's classic 1996 debut.
Egypt's Creatures in a New Light
In the fresh 11th episode, developers from Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog go behind the scenes of the project and explain in detail how they updated Egypt's fauna and mythical creatures. The creators aim to preserve the authentic atmosphere of the original while adding modern visual effects and cinematic mechanics.
Players can expect a story-driven adventure game where classic locations, puzzles, and iconic moments have been given a second life.
Release Date
The release of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for February 12, 2027, including for the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console.
