Last month, a closed network test was announced for The Duskbloods — an upcoming multiplayer action game by FromSoftware studio for the Switch 2 console. Now, detailed session dates and the participant selection process have been revealed.
UPDATE from August 7: If you applied to participate in the closed network test, you can already check if you were selected by logging into the game's official website.
Network test schedule
The testing will take place in several stages (Pacific Daylight Time, PDT):
- August 21 (Friday) — from 03:00 to 07:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00
- August 22 (Saturday) — from 11:00 to 15:00
- August 23 (Sunday) — from 03:00 to 07:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00
Main goals of the testing
During this closed test, the developers plan to focus on the following aspects:
- Server load: Simultaneous connection of a large number of players to check stability.
- Multiplayer mode: Identifying issues under various network conditions during matches.
- Game balance: Collecting data to further adjust the game balance based on real feedback.
As part of The Duskbloods network test, matches of up to 8 players simultaneously will be supported. Please note that a Nintendo Switch 2 console and an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription are mandatory for participation. Since the game is still in development, participants are asked to be understanding regarding possible bugs during gameplay.
