Studio Screen Burn Interactive and publisher Konami have presented a new extended 18-minute gameplay trailer for the psychological horror game Silent Hill: Townfall. The video showcases protagonist Simon Ordell's journey through the foggy locations of the fictional Scottish island of St. Amelia.
PS5 Exclusivity and Plans for Other Consoles
In addition to atmospheric first-person gameplay, observant viewers noticed an important note at the end of the video. The credits state that the game is a timed console exclusive for PlayStation 5, but will launch simultaneously on PC. Most importantly, the wording regarding other platforms states:
- The game will not be available on other consoles for at least 6 months after release.
- The release on PS5 and PC is scheduled for September 24.
- This opens a window for a potential launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S starting from late March 2027.
Silent Hill: Townfall will be the first mainline entry in the franchise with a full first-person perspective, offering a new experimental take on the iconic horror series.
