The Persona franchise continues to rapidly gain momentum with each new release. Thanks to the phenomenal success of Persona 5, the series has become one of the main titans of the JRPG genre, and SEGA's fresh financial reports only confirm this.
Huge Interest in Persona 4 Revival
As part of a recent quarterly report, SEGA management shared details regarding the future of Persona and the celebration of the series' 30th anniversary. According to the publisher, the level of anticipation for the remake Persona 4 Revival turned out to be extremely high:
- The number of wishlists for Persona 4 Revival is already outpacing hits like Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
- The announcements of Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 sparked a noticeable increase in net sales of previously released installments—specifically Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload.
The Future of the Series on the Nintendo Platform
This is great news for fans of hybrid consoles, as both major projects are being prepared for release on the new Switch 2 as well. The release of Persona 4 Revival is scheduled for May 20, 2027, while development of the long-awaited Persona 6 is in full swing.
